Ginkgo Leaf Fine Silver Pendant

This is a unique hand casted pendant harvested Ginkgo leaf. It has been made by brushing fine silver metal clay to build layers over tim. It has a one of a kind imprint from its original form. Once casted, they are torched in fire to remove the organic components of the leaf, leaving behind a shiny pure silver form.

Considered a living fossil, the ginkgo tree has no known living relatives and has endured for millions of years with little change. In fact, ginkgo is the oldest surviving species of tree known to exist, with a botanical history spanning more than 200 million years. This demonstration of resilience, combined with its antiquity, has granted the tree many symbolic meanings throughout the world. It has become a symbol of strength, hope and peace for many. This pendant has been tumbled and polished. This piece is free from patina stain. You can polish as you will and it will continue to look and display the original shiny silver metal.
