About

Me...

I am Giselle. Owner and creator of all my magical handmade products from Twisted Myst.

I am a  full-time working mom, a veteran, and an artist. I chose not to follow the artistic route as a career path, but the artistic path certainly followed me. It is embedded in the very core of my veins. My family all dabble in some sort of art medium and I am sure that's what influenced me growing up.

I am not a protégé, but I do like to experiment with all types of mediums and admire everything that I come across and have to give it a try. My first encounter that I can remember is in kindergarten. We partook in a contest as a class, and my drawing got entered and chosen. I was only 5 years old but remember the sheer joy. I was also very sick that spring and never able to come and see my drawing being displayed at the art gallery.

I have taken numerous art courses through school. In high school I was part of the Honors Art Society, and had my work featured on school slides for new students every semester. I dabbled in charcoal, watercolor, oil on canvas, mixed media, and drawing. Ms. Pear was a great instructor and inspiration and one of my favorites. She introduced me to my love for ceramics.

In college, after choosing a different path, I still continued to enrich myself with art. I took independent ceramic courses and mostly sculpted. I won a scholarship at Urisinus College for a horse head sculpture, and was displayed at the local University Museum.

Fast forward to 20 years later. I finally have my home studio, in a (not so quiet) corner area of my home. Kalcifer, sits in a secured & safe area away from living space and is the one that makes all my pottery come to life. My goal is to design and make unique art and share my joy and love with others. I share as much as I can by showing tidbits on my social media account.

I hope to inspire others, and that one day my work will be known by many and spread joy and happiness with each one of my art pieces. Thank you for reading, and loving my art.
