FAQ

What Items do you offer?

My shop offers mainly ceramic pottery products. More often I incorporate mixed media resulting in very unique designs. I have a few other items which can be found under my "other" menu section

Do you make custom made items, or take requests?

I do not take custom request except a special selective few via the VIP sale. I may take into consideration design ideas to incorporate into future creations. If you have something youd like to see me create that falls within my art style, feel free to let me know! You can do so via the surveys on my website

How long does it take to make items, when will I receive my item?

Ready made items are available to ship within 5-7 business days after payment clears, depending on the item you are ordering, i.e does it require additional processing (sealer or special customization), that may extend this window.

Made to order (pre-orders), means the item will be made when its purchased.

Ceramics has a minimum 4-6 week lead time for production. This time frame does not include, prepping, packaging and shipping. Sometimes lead times can trickle towards the 6 weeks or even 7 weeks, depending if your item survives the firing phase.

Shipping for regular Priority packages, delivery times will fall anywhere within 3-7 business days within the U.S and 1-2 weeks for international orders (and up to 4 weeks for some other countries). Unfortunately, I am not responsible for any shipment delays once the carrier picks up your package. Packages may get delayed at customs.

Returns
What if I don't like something I got? or what if something I got came broken, broke when I first used it, or noticed there is something wrong with it, etc?

Please message me as soon as you receive your item if you've come accross issues.

You have 24-48 hours to contact me for imperfections or missing packages. You have 7 days from delivery confirmation of your package to return/ship back your item. See below for policy details.

If you see any defects in your item, specially ready-made items, which is unlikely but possible, you can return your item for store credit or refund if i am unable to remake it (see more below in this section). I inspect all of my items after they are made, and before shipping. Photos are taken as well for ready made items, and they are the photos listed in the shop. Pre-orders will never look like the original but it is produced in the likeness of the original. I will not list damaged goods, or bgrade items without putting a note in the listing. Please note that there will ALWAYS be small imperfections with any handmade items, and this is not an indication that the product is broken, or faulty but that is handmade. Clay may have little indents, or color. Clay types have different characteristics as well. If you want something without any imperfections, it is best to buy something from a factory, or a large corporation that is able to mass reproduce items and are not handmade. However, the beauty of handmade is that it is carefully crafted and unique!

Returns and refunds for defective items

Faulty defect items include things such as a mug that leaks, bowl not sitting leveled, basically anything that hinders the ability to use the item well that was created during production. You need to contact me within 48 hours of delivery, and give specific details and photos. You have 7 days from the delivery confirmation of your shipment to ship back the product. A replacement will be free of charge once original is received, if supplies are available, otherwise store credit will be provided. You can also request for a refund.

For superficial defects like color, design or other visual defects, returns are accepted, if you contact me within 48 hours to request a return and item must be shipped back within 7 days of receipt/delivery confirmation of your package. You will receive a shipping label and there will be no cost to you. You can request a full refund or a remake.

If the item is damaged because it broke while being handled by the shipping carrier, as I strictly specified in this policy, you are covered by insurance. You will be required to contact me within 48 hours of notification of package delivery, and send detailed photos of the package, packaging, and damage. We will file a claim within 7 days. You will need to keep item to bring to your local post office, and or must be mailed back to me should I  require it. A replacement will be free of charge, once insurance is filed, and original is received where possible, and if supplies are available, otherwise store credit will be provided.

Please contact me otherwise, if none of the above topics apply.

For non-defect returns:

Should you want to return an item that has no defects, buyer covers the cost of shipping. Refunds will be in store credit or back to original payment, LESS shipping & taxes that were paid, and either option (refund/store credit) will incur a 25% fee. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs of new purchase (if any)

Do you ship internationally?

YES. I have a table with my shipping rates here. I ship internationally and offer flat rates. Shipping tracking is only available to 55 countries.
I reserve the right to change shipping prices at any time, based upon resources and availability, and current carrier rates.

What about customs and fees?

When the package arrives in your country, Customs and Taxes (if applicable) are the responsibility of the customer.

VAT and other non-us taxes are NOT included in product price or shipping. You are responsible for all shipping charges, VAT, customs fees, and any applicable charges you will be responsible once your package clears customs, if any.

Some countries allow you to self clear which means you take your customs paperwork to the nearest custom office and pay just the tax you would normally pay for goods in your country.

If you do not pay your fees or pick up your package from customs (if applicable), your package will be returned by customs, and or even incur a penalty. If this happens, I am not responsible if your package gets lost in transit on its way back, and you will ONLY receive store credit less tax and shipping, if i receive the package back. You will be responsible for any fees incurred and all other fees will be applicable if you want a refund.

What if my package is lost, stuck at a facility, no additional tracking movement, or says it was delivered but I never received it?

Not to worry! your priority package comes with automatic insurance up to $100, and I also include additional insurance for items above that value. If your package is lost, stolen, or states it was delivered but never arrived, we will need to file a claim with the shipping carrier. No replacements will be sent until claim is filed and processed. Please refer to the carrier website for claim information, but we will walk through this together. You have 48 hours to contact me if your package is lost or stolen. If broken, i need detail photos of package and product. You will need to keep items including packaging in case it is needed by shipping carrier, or if i need item shipped back (no cost to you). If carrier concludes after their investigation that they cannot offer a refund, I will accommodate this unfortunate event, by giving you store credit so that you can get something else, if i cannot remake your item. Store credit only, discounts are not applicable, and does not include silver metal jewelry.

Why are some of your items more expensive than other things I have found online?

When you buy from me, you are not only getting something unique, beautiful handmade art, but quality products. All of my pieces have hours of intense and invested time, detail that goes into it and quality products used.

My ceramics undergo a lengthy process, each requiring a lots of glaze layers and firing time. My pieces are priced accordingly; time invested, designs, and other special touches.

Firing time in my kiln is anywhere from 10-12 hours, and an equal amount in cooling time. Pottery needs to bisque (first fire), then glaze fired (second fire), an optional 3rd fire to correct glaze misbehavior, and final touches with 24k gold/mother of pearl or overglaze decals (final fire).

There are other sellers in the market who tend to mark their items at a lower price to sell quicker, hobbyist just looking to get funds back for more supplies and not charging for labor & supplies properly, feel that perhaps thats what their products are worth, or also because they are new and are still trying perfect their craft and build a reputation as an artist.

Pricing is not static. Depending on the artist's techniques, products used, experimentation, uniqueness, and many other variables, can dictate pricing.

Often these small businesses, will raise their prices months or years down the road to make up the difference on what they should have been selling their items for in the first place, often losing a lot of their customers. Others tend to price their items lower, to make themselves marketable and to compete with other sellers in the market to target more customers who would rather buy at a lower cost. Thats ok too!

As a buyer, you certainly have the option and opportunity to spend on the items you love and cherrish. You have a myriad of options, shops, artist, and products to choose from, so I am very thankful you admire my work and choose to continue to purchase my functional collectible art from me.
